Multimedia Writing

Multimedia Writing attempted to provide students with a practical and theoretical foundation in multimedia history, theory, and production. Projects included research-driven work into a range of media, including digital audio and video. All findings were presented using the latest in visual and other media presentation technologies.

Infographic

Summary: I created the infographic on the right for Multimedia Writing using Piktochart. The infographic, while employing many design principles, focuses on the University of Cincinnati Foundation's history and its current campaign.

Reflection: This infographic, which applies numerous design principles, built off the skills I learned while creating my first infographic in Introduction to Rhetoric and Professional Writing. During the creation of this artifact, I focused heavily on layout and alignment. I wanted each section to be clearly defined, and for the information to be aided by the icons chosen. This infographic, although I am proud of it, could certainly be improved. Piktochart is a free site that offers users the ability to create infographics, presentations, and flyers. If I were able to use some of the paid features of the site, or possibly create the same deliverable using Illustrator, the results may have been better.
